Founded in 2020 by Renato Marchesini and Trent Pike, ditto is on a mission to make dairy alternatives that are locally produced, affordable, and world-class. The company is disrupting a market that remains 90% import-dependent by offering high-quality oat milk and related products manufactured to international standards.
With ThirdWay Capital’s backing, ditto is expanding its production of aseptic oat milk, integrating into local oat farming supply chains, and reduce input costs through regional sourcing. The company aims to support local farmers in adopting more sustainable agricultural practices, ultimately helping them earn more per tonne.
ditto has already invested in a state-of-the-art aseptic production facility capable of producing 10,000 litres per hour. This capacity positions the company to serve both its own product lines and meet growing demand for aseptic co-packing services from other beverage producers, such as juice manufacturers.
The company’s product portfolio includes a well-received oat milk ice cream, and it plans to launch a range of dairy-free chocolates in the near future. Over time, ditto also intends to export its products to other African markets, offering a quality, cost-effective alternative to European and international imports.
